Ovulation and Menstrual Cycle

Ovulation
Ovulation is when a mature egg is released from the ovary. The egg then moves down the fallopian tube where it can be fertilised. If sperm are in the fallopian tube when the egg is released, there is a good chance that the egg will be fertilised, creating an embryo, which can grow into a baby.
During ovulation, when u have unprotected intercourse then the sperm would fertilise the egg released from the fallopian tube
The ‘fertile window’ is the day an egg is released from the ovary (ovulation) and the five days beforehand. Having s3x (intercourse) during this time gives you the best chance of getting pregnant. Sperm can live inside a woman's body up to 5days...
So even if u have umprotected s3x when you're not ovulating, then u start ovulating few days after the unprotected s3x, then the chance of getting pregnant is very high.
This is the reason why u must know the length of your menstrual cycle, your ovulation and menstruation..
Dont have s3x 5days before ovulation because Its risky.
Your ovulation comes 14-16 days before your menstruation. That means, your ovulation may be 14days before your menstruation, it may be 15days before your menstruation or it may be 16days before your menstruation. You have to study your body so that you would know when you're ovulating. But normally, it comes 14 days before menstruation.
Pregnancy is technically only possible if you have s3x during the five days before ovulation or on the day of ovulation. But the most fertile days are the three days before ovulation day or ovulation day. Having s3x during this time gives you the best chance of getting pregnant.
How to calculate your ovulation
Work out the length of your menstrual cycle, record the first day you start bleeding (first day of your period). This is day 1. The last day of your cycle is the day before your next period begins.
Or
You start counting from The first day your start your previous menstruation till the first day you start another menstruation. You will start counting 1, 2, 3 from the day u started your last month menstruation till the day you start this month menstruation.
That's the length of your menstrual cycle.
Normal Menstrual cycle length should be between 21-35days. If it's less than 21days, or it's more than 35 then its abnormal.
Symptoms of Ovulation
1. Ovulation pain
Some women experience slight ovarian painbefore or during ovulation
2. Changes in body temperature
Basal body temperature (BBT) refers to the temperature you have when you first wake up in the morning prior to moving your body at all. Your basal body temperature rises by about 1°F or less during the 24-hour window after ovulation occurs.
3. Changes in saliva
Estrogen and progesterone alter the consistency of dried saliva before or during ovulation, causing patterns to form. These patterns in the dried saliva may look similar to crystals or ferns in some women.
4. Fertile Quality Cervical Mucus
When you’re approaching ovulation, secretions near the cervix known as cervical mucus increase and transform into a raw-egg-white-like consistency. This fertile quality cervical mucus helps sperm swim up and into the female reproductive system, and makes s3xual intercourse easier and more pleasurable.
5. Increased s3xual Desire
Nature knows exactly how to get you to have s3x at the ideal time for conception. A woman’s desire for s3x increases just before ovulation.
6. Breast Tenderness
Ever notice that your breasts are sometimes tender to the touch? But not always? The hormones your body produces after ovulation cause this.
As a woman, you must understand your body when you're ovulating and you must know the length of your menstrual cycle
